Gobble Gobble Run or Wobble 5K CANCELLED!

$40.00Dear 5K registered participants,
We regret to inform you that the St. Linus Gobble Gobble Run or Wobble 5K race has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Village officials in Oak Lawn had an emergency meeting with 5K organizers about the impending snow storm that begins tonight and will continue until after 3 pm tomorrow.
Our main concern is safety for all participants. The village has stated that hazardous conditions would prohibit us from running due to slick roads, and the need to reposition city workers from 5K security to maintenance of streets for village residents.
Participants are encouraged to come to packet pickup tonight from 6-8pm to collect their bags. Please come to St. Linus Gym at: 10400 S. Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. The gym doors are located off the south parking lot nearest to our field. Our 5K committee will also have volunteers on site for packet pickup between 7 am and 9 am on race day for those unable to make it tonight.
We are holding a raffle of our prizes generously donated by our sponsors. All registered participants have been entered to win our prizes and winners will be posted at packet pickup before participants arrive to collect their goodie bags and t-shirts. Hotel packages have been raffled for registrants over the age of 18 only.
